Wild Rock Gravel Pit Red
Multi-awarded red from the grapes grown in best vineyards of Gimblett Gravels in the region of the land of plenty. In a gravely land with wild rock formation and rich fertile soils, blessed by the sun, streams of water, and micro climates conducive for wine growing.
Region: Hawke’s Bay
Deep dark purple color with fresh berry and plummy aromas, hints of floral notes and dusty oaks. The palate is smooth and supple with fine tannins, steady with rounded with rich matured fruit, serious tasting and has a long fresh finish.
Ideal to pair with beef, lamb or herb-crust lamb rack, and steaks.
62% Merlot, 35% Malbec, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Cabernet Franc
Aging: 18 months in French oak casks (18% new)
Aging potential: 3-4 years
Serving temperature: 16-18 ºC
Alcohol content: 13%
