A timeless French classic, our strawberry tart is a breeze to make, featuring our easy shortcrust pastry. A dreamy custard and juicy strawberries cradled in a crisp, buttery crust make it a summery treat anytime.
Ingredients
1 roll shortcrust pastry
1 pack frozen strawberries
200 g plain fromage blanc 0% fat
200 ml cream 30% fat
2 eggs
120 g brown sugar
1 tbsp liquid vanilla
Directions
Wash and drain the strawberries.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (gas mark 6).
Roll out the shortcrust pastry in a non-stick pie dish.
Beat eggs and sugar vigorously.
Add the fromage blanc, cream, and liquid vanilla.
Pour the mixture over the pastry.
Place the tart in the oven and bake for around 30 minutes, until lightly colored.
Leave to cool completely.
Split the strawberries in half and place on top of the tart.
Serve as desired.
