Porcini Mushrooms

With their fragrant flavor and white flesh, these young porcini mushrooms (also known as Cèpes in French or Penny Bun) are wild mushrooms, characterized by a swollen base and a tube that lines the inner side of the cap. They are carefully sorted before being frozen. Ideal for refined dishes to accompany your meats, served with parsley.


The mushrooms should be blanched before cooking in order to avoid any bitterness: immerse the mushrooms in a saucepan of slightly salted boiling water (a pinch of salt). Cook for 30 seconds after resuming simmering. Drain. Then pour the mushrooms in a hot pan with a little butter. Cook over medium heat for 4:30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add a teaspoon of garlic and a teaspoon of chopped parsley. Continue cooking for 2 minutes over medium heat.

I was hesitant to buy frozen produce before but after trying these earthy goodness, I think the frozen ones are even better

smokey and earthy flavor
These mushrooms are hard to come by, I'm so glad I could order these anytime now. It's their smokey, earthly notes that I love so well.
