How to Prep & Cook Chicken Fillets

Safe Handling Guidelines

  • Separate raw meat from cooked or ready-to-eat foods.
  • After handling, wash your hands, surfaces, and utensils thoroughly with soap and water.
  • Do not wash raw chicken before cooking.
  • Cook to an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F).
  • Refrigerate leftovers promptly.

Thawing / Defrosting

  • Place the chicken tenderloins in the refrigerator overnight.
  • Defrost only in the refrigerator or microwave—never at room temperature.
  • Consume only after the chicken has been fully cooked (fried, baked, grilled, or sautéed).

Cooking

Grilling

Season the chicken tenderloins and grill for 4–5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Baking

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Season as desired and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until fully cooked.

Sautéing
