All-natural almonds meal packed fresh. 

Almonds meals area ground almonds, generally coarser then almond flour, and made from raw almonds. Great to be used in sweet pastries and confectionery, such as macarons. In france, it is an important ingredient in galette des Rois, a central part of Christmas cuisine in France.

A great alternative to be used in baking for those on low carbohydrate diets, as well as paleo and gluten-free diets. As an ingredient, it adds moistness and rich nutty flavor to baked items. 

Serving Ideas:

Aside from a baking ingredient, add this to yogurts, smoothies, add to granolas, even to flavor stews, such as chicken tikka masala

 

Health Benefits:

They are nuts in vitamin E, some minerals, fibre, phytonutrients, and monounsaturated fatty acids! Every hundred-gram serving provides 114% daily value of vitamin E, 115% copper, 95% manganese, 69% phosphorous, and 46% fibre. Most of their fat contents are monounsaturated fatty acids, which are the good fats. They are also rich in several other B vitamins, especially Riboflavin or vitamin B2.

Research has indicated that regular intake of almonds may aid in lowering the risk of heart disease through reducing blood levels of bad cholesterol and are included as a good source of protein, calcium, and zinc among the recommended healthy foods. 


Storage: Store in an airtight sealed bag in a cool dry place. For best quality, refrigerate after opening.

Recipe Suggestion:

Almond Crust French Toast

Ingredients

2 large eggs
1/4 cup milk
sweetener (optional)
a dash of vanilla extract
2 slices whole grain bread
2 spoonfulls of almond meal
2 tsp honey

Directions

In a bowl, combine the egg, milk, sweetener and vanilla extract.
Dip the slices of bread into the egg mixture then place it on waxed paper.
Cover each slice with almond meal.
Cook on a nonstick pan for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
Drizzle with honey.
Serve and enjoy!
