While less popular than the shoulder or leg, the lamb rump is an affordable cut loved by restaurants worldwide. A thin layer of fat on top makes it great for roasting and barbecuing.

Heat an ovenproof pan over medium heat, then sear your seasoned lamb in oil until browned all over. Transfer to pan to a preheated oven and cook at 200°C for 10–15 minutes or until cooked to your preference. Allow to rest before serving.
