Block of Goose Foie Gras
By Rougié (Bloc de foie gras d'oie) is a fully cooked fat liver of goose, also known as goose foie gras. Foie gras is a well known delicacy in French cuisine with its rich, delicate and buttery flavor.
A gourmet dish typically consumed in special occasions like Christmas and New Year. A luxury dish which one should indulge in from time to time.
Ideal for appetizers, hors d'euvres, canapés and as a present.
It is made usually into a pâté, a parfait (a frozen dessert) or mousse, or served together with steak with lemon juice and a sprinkle of black pepper.
It is smooth and goes well with white wine or a nice bread. Can be served on Blinis or toasted bread.
Serve at a temperature between +8°C and + 12°C.
Foie gras, water, port wine, salt, sugar, pepper, antioxidant: sodium ascorbate, preservative: nitrite.
Storage and Instructions:
Store in cool dry place
Refrigerate 20 minutes before opening.
Consume or refrigerate after opening.
Remove both sides and gently slide out by applying pressure on one end.
