Goji or wolfberry, these berries are native to Asia and have been used in Asian cuisine as snack or breakfast as a healthy addition to teas, yogurts, fruit juices, or fruit purées. These have mild sweetness and slightly chewy texture.

How to Eat or Use Goji Berry:

Add in your morning tea or sprinkle on beverages, use to make a goji juice or a goji berry tea: soak a handful of berries in a glass of hot or cold beverage for 5-10 minutes. Soak a handful in a glass of water for 10 minutes then stir them into your batter mixture for your baked goods. Top on smoothies, oatmeal, yogurt, salads, desserts, or sauces. Add in trail mixes or eat on its own for a snack.

Parfait à la Goji

Ingredients

1/4 cup fresh cream
2 egg yolks
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice
4 tbsp soaked goji berries
1 mango, sliced
1/4 cup fresh berries

Directions

Beat egg yolks in a mixer and add sugar to achieve a mousse-like texture.
Add the lemon juice then the mango slices.
Mix the other ingredients and the fresh cream.
Refrigerate for a few hours.
Serve and enjoy!
