Mango Jam by GERALD.ph

I shared my bottle, courtesy of Monsieur Gerald himself, with our company's food concessionaire and she was struck by the jam's honey taste.

"It's like fresh mangoes in honey," she exclaimed. "It's perfect for very soft bread or even on crackers."

That's when I tasted it. "It does have that strong honey taste."

The consistency reminded me of Mango Gerber when I was a baby, but more textured yet strangely fine.

Then,it reminded me of the mango chutney I used to make as a teenager, imagining how the jam could be infused with chilli and some other spices to make it savory.

I had a teaspoon of it on my omelet and hard-boiled egg, and it was just perfect!

I think it would be great folding it in my omelet and eating it extra hot, or having it very thinly brushed on steaming hot pandesal for that classic mango feel.

Tastes great, too, on halo-halo and more!
