Frozen French Green Beans (Haricot Verts)

₱ 359 ₱ 250

Delicately thin, vibrant, and naturally sweet—these premium French green beans (haricot verts) are a staple of refined home cooking. Harvested at peak freshness and pre‑cooked and flash‑frozen, they help preserve color, nutrients, and that signature crisp snap French beans are known for.

Sourced from carefully selected farms and processed shortly after harvest, these beans offer speed without compromise. Unlike ordinary green beans, haricot verts are slimmer and more tender, making them ideal for quick sautés, roasting, steaming, or elegant side dishes where texture matters.

Naturally low in calories and rich in fiber, vitamins A, C, and K, these beans support balanced everyday meals—whether paired with grilled meats, folded into salads, or finished simply with olive oil and sea salt. A freezer essential for cooks who value both convenience and quality.

Chef’s Tips: The Texture Specialist

  • The 3-Minute Blanch: To retain that sought-after crunch and vivid green hue, blanch beans in boiling salted water for just 3 minutes, then immediately plunge them into an ice bath.
  • Sauté Perfection: Avoid overcooking. Haricots verts are best when finished in a pan with a touch of butter or garlic oil until they are "al dente"—tender but with a firm bite.
  • Seasoning Secret: Add salt only at the very end of cooking to prevent the beans from shriveling or losing their moisture.

The Science of Fresh Legumes

Understanding why Haricots Verts are a nutritional powerhouse.

01
Metabolic Support: High in dietary fiber, these beans may help support healthy blood sugar control as part of a balanced diet.
02
Bone Density: Packed with Vitamin K, which plays an important role in bone health.
03
Antioxidant Rich: Contains antioxidants such as lutein and zeaxanthin, which support eye health.

Common Questions

What is the difference between Green Beans and Haricots Verts?

Haricots verts (French for "green beans") are a specific variety that is longer, thinner, and more tender than traditional American green beans. They are harvested earlier, ensuring they are stringless and have a more delicate flavor profile.

Do I need to trim the ends?

Our premium beans are pre-selected for quality, but it is standard practice to "tip" the stem end (where the bean attached to the plant). The tapered tail end is perfectly edible and adds a rustic, elegant look to the dish.

Can these be eaten raw?

Yes. Because haricots verts are so slender and tender, they are delicious when thinly sliced in salads or used as a crunchy crudité for dipping in hummus or vinaigrette.
