Dried rendition of one of the super fruits due to its virtues for health. From different varieties of cherries - sweet cherries, wild, sour, and tart ones, each with distinct flavor blending in harmony to provide a tangy yet sweet dried fruity goodness.

Cherries are one of the oldest fruits consumed, eaten for more than 6000 years! It was used thousands of years ago to make a drink, which is our ancestors' wine version. Often taken as fresh fruit, cherries are used to prepare jams, brandy, desserts of all kinds, and more.


How to Serve:

Popular in desserts such as fruit salads, crème brûlée, tiramisu as in baked goods like cakes, flans, clafoutis, cookies, shortbread, scones to name a few. Add in trail mixes or even as a side in a cold cut platter, add in summer salads, or pair with duck breast and slices. The dried cherries will marry as well with fresh cheese. They can be used as well for recipes that call for fresh cherries. If there is a need to rehydrate them, simply soak in water overnight in the refrigerator.

Ingredients

100 g flour
25 g stevia powder
1 sachet vanilla sugar
250 ml skimmed milk
2 eggs
300 g dried cherries

Directions

Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
In a salad bowl, combine the flour, stevia, vanilla sugar, eggs, and milk.
Mix well then add the dried cherries.
Pour into a baking dish.
Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
