Chilean sea bass (also known as Patagonian toothfish) is also highly valued due to its rarity, slow growth rate, and high demand.

Cooking without thawing

Oven (210°C): Brush the fillets with oil and place them in a dish skin side up. Bake in a preheated oven for 12-14 minutes.

Steamer: Cook the fillets for 5-6 minutes in a covered steamer basket over simmering water.

Microwave (900 watts): Cook the fillets in a suitable dish, skin side down, for 2-4 minutes for 2 fillets, covered, flipping halfway.

Cooking with thawing

Thaw in the refrigerator overnight or place in a dish under running water.

Pan: Sear the fillets skin side down with a little oil in a hot pan for 2-3 minutes. Flip the fillets and continue cooking over low heat 1.5-2 minutes.
