Robust and balanced, produced from a balanced blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, supplemented with a little Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The callar master quests for a perfectly ripe harvest and with temperature controlled-cellar, the product of fermentation shows the character of the four grape varieties that compose the wine of Château Fourcas Dupré. The great wine offers years of quality, a sure value of the Listrac-Médoc designation.
The vineyards of Fourcas was acquired in 1843 by the lawyer Jean Baptiste Antoine Dupré, member of the Bordeaux Appeal Court giving birth to Château Fourcas Dupré in 1844.
Member of the "Académie du vin de Bordeaux" and of the prestigious "Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux"
Its color is intense ruby to purple deep, this red is ripe, bold and tannic yet full of blackberry fruits, floral aroma, lilac and cherry hints with acidity for a longish finish.
Perfect pairing with cold cuts, mushrooms, gratins, ham, green veggies, dried ones, white and red meats, dry and soft-paste cheeses.
49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 49% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot
