Jean Guillot Chateau Cap de Fer

This vibrant garnet-red Château Cap de Fer is grown from a traditional vinification with a submerged pomace cap in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Extended maceration and at least 12 months of aging.

Located on a superb clay-gravel plateau bordering the town of Saint Loubés, the vineyard enjoys a low frost-resistant exposure, which is very favorable to the ripening of its precious grapes.

Tasting notes

Highly expressive nose of ultra-ripe fruits with a hint of tobacco and roasted toast. On the palate, it has a good full-bodied fruity taste with a hint of dark chocolate flowing into spicy flavors. Powerful and harmonious with slightly astringent tannins.

Vinification: traditional with marc cap submerged in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. Long maceration and aging for at least 12 months.

Alcohol content: 13.5%

good attack, harmonious up to finish
nice easy taste with a strong start, powerful then harmonious up to finish, perfect with grilled steaks and meat.
