Black Tiger Prawns

6-8 pieces (1 kg) per bag - PHP 1,890 / kg

Large striped prawns range between 9 to 11 inches. Tender meat with a mild flavor similar to lobster tails but with much more meat than the shelled. Also called giant tiger prawn or Asian tiger shrimp.

They are excellent for deep-frying or grilling, buttered, or served on a seafood platter.

Thawing

Store in the refrigerator overnight or for 24 hours, or place in a dish under running water.

Cooking

Pan: Stir-fry in oil until color of prawn changes to pink and the meat is thoroughly cooked (about 4 to 5 minutes). Season and serve.

Jumbo Prawns Indeed

Ordered 2kg of the tiger prawns and they were huge! It was meaty and fresh, very versatile to whatever shrimp dish you desire for. Totally worth every peso!

Awesome Jumbo Black Tiger Prawns

We love the convenience of ordering quality seafood from Gerald. The Jumbo Black Tiger Prawns were of awesome quality — they came 7 to 8 large pieces equaling to a 1 kilo bag of prawns. In the last month we have ordered 3 bags from Gerald (among other seafood and other products). We made Hawaiian Kahuku butter garlic prawns with a side of sweet and spicy Vietnamese dipping sauce. Eating the Tiger Prawns in the bitter garlic sauce brought us back to the Oahu North Shore and Kahuku. Will order more from Gerald.
